Im still running RH6.2 on my P100 Laptop with 800MB HDD and 400MB RAM. It runs O.K.
some other things you may consider looking at is something like vector linux. Go to www.linux.org and use there Distrubution search engine/list, there are others that are worth looking into for older PC's. I am using damnsmalllinux at work on a Hard disk in a P200 machine and its been running xmms and a few other things for the last few days as a burn in (CPU runs at 100%) its ok but missing a few programs that could be useful... like telnet..... but it does have ssh so it wasnt to bad.. and its easy to customise.
