I just deleted some old emails from you from a few weeks back, talking about package management and linux distributions ...
I now admin a bunch of Debian machines, as well as my FreeBSD ones. Plus the box at home is a Mac using debian tools via Fink ... So I'm getting into apt-get in a bigger way ... :-) Only thing I'm not sure of at the moment is how to declare that I've met some dependancies manually (i.e. I ripped out exim from my workstation, and I want to provide a manually-built replacement, and then be able to install other packages that 'depend' on exim without getting it re-installed) -jim
