Did this but didn't get any joy on reboot. When I tried to get Mandrake 9.1 running 'cardmgr' gave a low pitch beep to indicate a card was detected but not supported/configured. Now I'm using RH 8.0 (cos it installed properly!) and cardmgr gives no beep at all on booting...
Are you sure your PCMCIA card is good?
It was working 3 weeks ago when I got the laptop, using Win 98. If it has blown up I'm not sure...cardmgr cannot detect a card to tell me if its OK or not...
