Hi, I have been toying with this idea for some time, but I have no idea where to start. So I'm starting here, with apologies for the OT post.
I live in Christchurch, and I am interested in hobby robotics. You know, small dc motors, servos, PIC microcontrollers, smoke etc. Question 1 Does anyone on this list know about a club in the Christchurch area for this sort of hobby? Please tell me if so. Question 2 If there is no such club, is anyone on this list interested in starting one? If you are not interested, but know someone who is please ask them to get in touch with me. If we started a club I am not sure what the format would be, but CLUG would be a good model, i.e. monthly meetings looking at broken robots instead of broken PCs =:^) Please email me directly to reduce list traffic. I will summarise back to the list if anything actually comes of it. Obligatory Linux content- I run Debian and Red Hat at home (no comments please!). Andy
