passwords set up correctly?

Same user names and passwords on both
encrypt passwords = yes


how are you mounting the windows boxes? as what user?

* mount -t smbfs -o username=robert,password=xxxxxx >
//servername/foldername /home/robert/foldername/ or

* mount -t smbfs -o username=guest > //servername/foldername
/home/robert/foldername/

(either way works to give read access)
