Hi all.

A friend has a linux box running apache and sendmail attached to a 10Mb
connection in the back of someones ISP somewhere in christchurch (can't
remember where). We are upgrading the box to something newer and faster,
but need some help with the technical details of getting the new one running
smoothly and securely.

So help #1 required is a competent Apache / Linux / Sendmail guru who would
swap time and skill for some space on the server to use for their own
(legal) purposes - we don't make much, if any, money from having this
server, its just darned convenient so we can't justify (at this time,
anyway) paying for services - hence the webspace offer. Please don't offer
if you've kinda mucked about with apache in your bedroom - we've had someone
like that already, we need someone technically competent.

The box provides web services and email, and also (I am pretty sure) acts as
the primary DNS server for the sites on it - but for a couple of odd
applications and for money-saving reasons we need a secondary DNS server on
a separate box.

So help #2 required is to swap use of our DNS server for use of someone
elses - this means both parties would have a pri and sec DNS server and
would avoid having to pay for the secondary one at Domainz or wherever you
choose your names from now.

Any and all help much appriciated. Please contact me off-list on

Regards

Steve
