That is the main reason that I run a Mac OS X machine at home - networking, printing, peripherals in general, email and web will "just work". For tinkering, install Apple's X server and [x|E|k|whatever]term and have a normal unix box available ... My Linux box at work has too many choices - sound and printing aren't working at the moment, because I don't know what back-end I'm supposed to be fixing ... cups or lpd? esound, alsa, what? Plus I don't really need either of them ... 'beep -f 256 -r 2 -l 10' works for important email notification ... and I still know how to use a pen and paper ... http://googlefight.com/cgi-bin/compare.pl?soumission=1&langue=us&q1=pen%20and%20paper&q2=wordprocessor&r1=1950000&r2=131000&motvainqueur=pen%20and%20paper -jim
