/etc/init.d/checkroot.sh, symlinked as /etc/rcS.d/S10checkroot.sh, so it's
_real_ early in the process. 

It's done just before fsck'ing the root filesystem, after it works out if
it's safe to do (seem to check wether it's an older kernel and swap is on
an md device..)

Can send whole file if you'd prefer.
