Thanks Zane,

I've now solved the problem with double posts so FWIW here's what I
found and how I fixed it.

Setup: subscribed to clug mailing list (among others) and using ximian
evolution to browse mail. Using filters to move incoming ML posts to
appropriately named folders.

Symptoms: Ending up with two copies of clug messages and only one from
other MLs.

Spooky bit: The messages are identical. Right down to routing time
stamps. This helped find the fault.

What was wrong: There was a duplicate filter to move the clug messages.
It appears that when evolution moves messages it actually copies them
then marks the original for deletion on the next purge. The second
filter was making a copy of the message marked for deletion. AKA two
copies in the clug folder.

Fix: Deleted one filter.

Anyway thanks Zane for looking into the possibility of a duplicate entry
in the ML. I've posted this so that others might find and use it in a
search of the archives.
