You might recall the batch-scanning project that I wrote about a few
weeks ago. Things are going forward again, after I had to get to grips
with script-fu first :-)
I can now get the GIMP to perform colour correction, image rotation,
sharpening and saving to a jpeg from the command line, which is nice.
Only thing, both the scanning and image correction processes are
coffee-break affairs. So the ideal would be to complete the first scan,
start the second scan, and then perform colour correction etc on the
first image while the second is being scanned. This way, the scanner and
PC can at least work in parrallel.
Problem: How do I do this in Perl? I realise this is one extremely
stupid question, but the Camel Book has not been helpful tonight .....
