Hi,

There is indeed something called Gnoppix. See http://www.gnoppix.org/.

Quote from the site:

GNOPPIX is a linux live cd based upon Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody). It can be compared to Knoppix but GNOPPIX uses GNOME 2.4 as desktop environment.

Cheers

Hi,
Thanks to Volker for supplying knoppix.  I now have another knoppixish
question.

Is there a version of knoppix built using only Gnome2?

Or is this something I need to build from scratch.  Knoppix 3.2 has some
gnome libraries floating around.  Abiword and Gnumeric are installed and
I have seen gconf droppings.

I mean I like KDE but have dreams of Gnome2 with a few other goodies,
tgif, pstoedit, gkrellm, evolution .....
