I read several chapters in, but began to suffer from ESR's terminology verboseness - he keeps giving defining terms and giving them pompous names like "The Principle of Modularity". Then he keeps on mentioning them, hoping that if we read them enough, we'll start using them in the Real World ... and then he can pop them back into the Jargon File ... No, I'm not really flaming ESR, just the way his writing style comes across :-0 But it's not an objective book, it's like his Open Source musings - "because it works, it must be good. Here's how it's good, and better than the others ... and that's what makes it work!" - which is a little circular. -jim
