I noticed the same error message when I turned on my computer this morning. It's probably a recent change they have made. I updated a couple of days ago and I can't ever remember seeing that message before.

it "can't synthesize input events - /proc/bus/input/devices missing".

The output of uname and /var/log/boot follows

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/paulb# cat /var/log/boot | grep hotplug
Wed Nov 5 16:20:19 2003: Starting hotplug subsystem: input** can't
synthesize input events - /proc/bus/input/devices missing
Wed Nov 5 16:20:19 2003: pci** can't synthesize pci hotplug events
Wed Nov 5 16:20:30 2003: Starting hotplug subsystem:.... already
started. process pending events.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/paulb# uname -a
Linux paulscomputer 2.4.22-1-k7 #5 Sat Oct 4 14:11:12 EST 2003 i686
GNU/Linux

I am trying fix the pppd problem I posted before byt using hotplug. I am running debian unstable. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Paul
