Hi all A (hopefully) easy question:
I have a home network of windoze and linux machines with an IPCop firewall and Mandrake 9.2 acting as server and proxy server. I want to force all connections to the internet to go through the proxy server. I thought that if I set hosts.allow on the firewall to only allow connections from the server this would work. However, windoze machines on the network are still going straight through to the firewall. The question: is hosts.allow the right tool for this job? (If so then I'll go RTFM, otherwise which FM should I go R?) I'm new to this list but have been lurking for a week or so, so I hope I've asked the question appropriately(!) . I'm finding conversion to the linux world hard going, but intend persevering - I have a lot of questions about which tools I should be using to achieve my desired setup. cheers Kerry Mayes Chch. PS: if I have a reply-to thingy in the header, sorry - I'm using O**look at work at the moment - I'm not sure how to change it.
