XFree86-server-4.3-8.4.91mdk <-- was XFree86-server-4.3-5mdk.rpm on

                                                     dec 22 2003

XFree86-100dpi-fonts-4.3-8.4.91mdk<---- installed last Saturday.

XFree86-libs-4.3-8.4.91mdk<---- installed last Saturday.

XFree86-xfs-4.3-8.4.91mdk<---- installed last Saturday.

The first package in the list was the one i had installed first of about Dec
22 2003. On Dec 26 2003 is when i next started the PC up and i started
getting the exevue errorno 2 occur upon typing startx at the console.

The thing i found out was that by typing rpm -q XFree86 or rpm -q XFree86* was
the reply XFree86-server-4.3-5mdk is not installed.

what caused it to be uninstalled ????
*******************************************

I believe it was just luck and experimentation after getting the server rpm
d/l via windows that i was able to install the server again.

Then to find updates for the other xfree components to the same release state
I updated everything (note i had for what ever reason the KDE become unstable
on me on friday night - Jan 2nd 2004).

hope the information is more.

dave.
