My son made (or remade) friends with a kid he used to know at a previous
school over the holidays. He got invited to this kid's house after they
had met at the pool a few times. I had to drop him off. Before we went
he told me this other kid's parents were software developers and that a
microsoft bag had been spotted at the pool. I thought I'd be provocative
and wear my CLUG tux t shirt from last year's installfest.

I was pleasantly surprised to get there and find they ran a MS free
house and business, develop web/ecommerce stuff entirely in linux along
with stuff like python, zope etc. I guess the bag was forgiveable LOL.

The kids had x-terms for whatever it is kids do on computers.

Just thought this was a nice positive little coincidence and how nice to
see this happenning more and more.

Also the other day I got an email almost out of the blue from a very old
friend who used to be a mac man, then a windows man, asking me if i knew
how to fix his problems with his mythtv shuttle box running redhat 9.
