I wonder if we should repeat some of the successful sessions we have had. There must be guys around who are at the stage I was 2 years ago who would love to have the encouragement I had.
Chris's session on LTSP was always in the back of my mind as a project - and now I have it set up at home. Nick's Gentoo session raised my interest such that I am now a Gentoo zealot. Jason's session on some of his GUI favourites converted me to K3B Chris has helped me with Kernel recompiles and other things he probably finds trivial. I love it when I can pass on some of my limited knowledge/ etc etc etc blah blah blah Regarding a social session. Fine by me but do not expect my wife to be enthusiastic about a geek's night out. My 2cents. We have to remember that we will not please all of the people all of the time and it would be foolish to try.
