Well, at least this explains why you never tried Knoppix b4 buying.
The price must have been right!
I selected a Compaq (& Knoppix install) after some instore research last August - remaining problems, esp an Xtra/hardware issue that has it still offline, are too complex for daily concern. Maybe after a proper holiday!
Must talk to Volker about Suse..
In the meantime, XP works..
