I just wanted to post a link to the College Linux Distro. http://www.distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=college
I have installed it on my brother in-law's Toshiba Tecra A1 laptop, with no problems at all. It is a slackware based distro and seems to have everything you need to replace Microsoft Windows and Office on ONE CD. It looks like they have dropped open office and added apache instead now, since the version I tried. I guess KDE is a good enough word processor. Anyways, I thought it was a good way to try Slackware, since the install went so smoothly. Ciao, Dave
