Yes - RMS is absolutely pro Freedom.  I guess the analagy to immigration then is that 
the world ought be a Free place and anyone ought to have the Freedom to travel and 
look under the hood of any society/culture/commnuity and contribute to it, just as 
they would a Free piece of software.
