Kde 3.2's version of arts uses the new threading system if it's avaliable 
however none of the various arts plugins for other apps can currently handle 
this well. as a result xmms stuffs up when trying to play sound in 10's kde 
at the moment unless arts is disable and xmms set to use oss. Totem on the 
other hand seems to be stuffed with rc1 the latest cooker version seems to 
solve what ever the problem was.
