It turns out thus...

When you remove the sticky label with the barcode, etc on the back,
you find 4 allen bolts holding the top and bottom together. The 2
spare bolt holes confuse a bit! Undo those, and the 2 halves unhinge
from the end with the power button on.

As the back is full of holes, I was going to put a couple of screws
through them to hold it onto the wall. However, if you do that, you'll
not be able to replace said 4 bolts as there's now a wall in the way!

So, thread a bit of string through randomly selected holes, and then
put it all back together. Hook the string over a screw head placed
behind where the modem now is.

Voila!
