Actually I haven't written any COBOL since around 1980. I learnt while working for a computer bureau in 1971, and worked for several places including the Post Office (work on the POSB) system when they were still loading accounts onto computers.
Then in 1980 I met PICK for the first time, when it was a modern operating system, and not an old-fashioned database. These days in my dayjob I write PICK (mvBase) driven webpages for our intranet system, and some PHP when I can get away with it. At night I write PHP-driven websites and think I should move my home computing to Linux. Now would you like me to tell you about my school holiday job before Dunedin City Council had a disk drive on their computer? I learned COBOL and programmed in it in 1996. ____________________________________________________________________ CAUTION - This message may contain privileged and confidential information intended only for the use of the addressee named above.
