Hi, i have J2SE 1.4.2_02 installed, but i now also want to install J2EE 1.4. On the java.sun.com website (http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/download-dr.html) it says that J2EE contains:
J2EE 1.4 Application Server J2SE 1.4.2_02 J2EE 1.4 Samples Since i already have J2SE installed i figured i would only have to download the J2EE Application Server & Samples. However on the same page it also says that J2SE 1.4.2_02 is required for this J2EE release. i'm confused do i need to install the entire J2EE release (including J2SE) or can i just install the Application Server & Samples on top of my current J2SE? also it only explicitly says that Redhat 8.0 is supported with this J2EE. is it just a gvien that 9.0 (my version) is supported too? hope some1 can clear this up for me cheers, sam
