Ring 123, 4, then 4 to get your discount,

I would be SHOCKED if anyone on this list is STUPID enough to be using telecom for any kind of non-free calling. There are many calling cards that are less than 30% of telecoms OFF-PEAK across the board for all calls. The only exception being for capped calls, but then again I'm sure that situation hasn't changed. So in any case you will get no benefit. E.g., to ring my mate in Wellington is 5c per minute using the Compass Kiaora card. If I am CERTAIN that I'm going to talk for more than 60 minutes, but less than 120 minutes (when they start charging you again), then I use telecom - otherwise it would be very stupid indeed to pay more to telecom. They (Compass) had their problems with access in the past, and occasionally with third world countries their service is no good. But I will ALWAYS try it first considering that Telecom's cheapest, even with a discount, at off-peak is more than $1 per minute (to Costa Rica anyway) and with the Kiaora card it is 35c, 24/7.
Telecom is like Microsoft. Using their services is a socially irresponsible thing to do for people who are aware of the ill effects of corporate monopolies. Less choice is a bad thing, almost without exception.
Cheers
Anton
