[Heh, another chance to use a bulleted list]
* Evolution *renders* the HTML version of email messages by
default.
* Evolution *produces* plain-text[1] email messages by default.
* You can check the format of your sent mail by selecting a
message in the Sent folder and selecting
View->Message Display->Show Email Source. If you see HTML tags,
then you are sending HTML messages :)
* To change the preferences for the message-format select
Tools->Settings->Composer Preferences. There is a check-box for
"Format messages in HTML". You can also change the default
character set (to UTF-8, for example) in the same dialog.
* You can also make Evolution send HTML-formatted email messages
to particular users by opening a user's contact in the Contact
Manager and selecting "Wants to receive HTML mail".
[1] In Evolution's case, plain text is ISO 8859-1, while the rest
of GNOME 2.4 uses UTF-8.
