Having not the FAINTEST idea what your talking about, but being duely

I'd suggest Ipcop as your firewall/router stuff. Its bloody brilliant, and
lets you maintain the net connection while messing with an internal machine.

Subject: CDs

I've strung together a P2-233 for router, services, experiment purposes...
However, sifting through my Linux Install CD's I discover to my horror...

Debian 3.0 CD1 - Fails, read error
Slackware 7.1 CD1 - Fails, read error (it was old anyway, right?) RedHat 8.0
CD2 - Fail, read error SOL CD1 - Fails, 80% of install FreeBSD - Fails,
Operator Error... I just dont get it RedHat 9.0 - Success, and the only one
that DOES work

I need new CD's of things... Maybe some stuff thats new, that I havent
played with...

Anyone that can help with a copy of SuSE, Slackware, Debian 3 (just
CD1...), Mandrake, Gentoo(is it easy to install/drive?)

I have a portable Burner, and blanks, if borrowing a copy sounds easier to
manage...
