I've set it up so GREEN NIC is 192.168.0.1 - that pings back and forth, and I can get to the http setup screen from other computers on the network.

It's the RED NIC I'm having problems with. It's set to 218.101.50.166 - my static IP on paradise's network, with default gateway 218.101.50.1 and paradise's primary and secondry DNS servers set up. I've gone for letting the computers choose their own IPs rather than running a DHCP server.

Other computers aren't getting any of the hot cable action, and after a while of sitting on the login screen, IPCop tells me it can't connect to http://www.ipcop.org. Seems the modem isn't talking to the IPCop box properly.

Is there very obviously something wrong with how I've set things up, or should I just keep tinkering blindly? I've tried swapping cables all around.

Thanks,

Chris.
