i love all those extra urls in konqueror. some of my favourite;

smb:/ - browse a remote samba/windows share
fish:/ - browse an ssh server
camera:/ - look at your camera's pics
lan:/ - browse your lan.
man:/ - as referred to above
info:/ - i believe does for info pages what man:/ does for man pages.
device:/ speaks for itself

there are also cool url abbreviations like:

gg:don gould silly question - search google and receive a million hits
rf:procmail - search rpmfind for procmail rpm's
wi:802.11b - search the whatis database - 

you can see many more and define your own somewhere in konqueror's
settings dialog - sorry this is a bit vague, not got konq here and vnc
is being silly.

These should all work from the "run command" dialog too (Alt-F2). One of
my commonest keystroke sequences is "Alt-F2, gg:topic" to open a konq
window with a google search on topic. ok so you end up with zillions of
konq windows open, but thats what the close button is for (or Alt-F4)
