In an act of purist optimism I thought I'd resubmit a question I asked ages ago. I didn't get one response last time so I'm not expecting any better this time.
I cannot add or even see any icons on my gnome desktop. I have a Desktop directory in my /home but I am unable to change the blank desktop in any way. When I right-click on the desktop I don't even get a menu. I have checked file ownerships and privileges. Any new user I create has this poblem.
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?
Also, what gnome based application is there for user/group management. I mean, to add/create users and alter their profiles NOT at a command-line based level.
