Thanks for the help all, kppp wasn't installed so have now installed kdenetwork. Tried some of the others like wvdial, but it needs to have root access to work. However, it seems to be interfering with the network. Internet works if I have the network connection down, but not if it is up. I can ping the ip addresses I get for the ppp connection from ifconfig, but any other address it attempts to locate through the network. Can someone point me in the right direction? Kerry.
