Is it possible to set something like that up with a standard pop.paradise account on a machine that needs to be able to dual boot? Similar in a way (but more versatile) to what I can currently do with Mozilla. I would love to be able to get my email in Mozilla when I need to be running XP, but also be able to use Evolution in Linux. (I'm still only able to run Lunux about 50% of the time at the moment.)

Short answer "no", long answer - i'll see you tonight and discuss it LOL.

Did you get this sorted? It doesn't sound hard at all.
Have one of the POP clients 'Leave messages on server' (option), then you can download them again in the other OS.
Or have I misunderstood your Q?

Possibly there's a mis-understanding combined with a lack of a good explanation or understanding of what I'm currently doing. I'm using mozilla and am very happy with it, and point the email client in either OS to the same folder on a fat32 partition. Given that I need to dual boot and may need to for some time yet, this works really well.

I appreciated the feedback on imap servers and what can be done, I'll not be pursuing this right now. I picked up a number of things to play around with at the meeting on Wednesday night, and if I can get them all working this weekend that will be excellent progress.
