I am using nvidia-kernel 1.0.6106 (the latest)
and
emerge -s nvidia-settings says that it is not installed
but several forums suggest that it might be in the latest nvidia drivers so
I will see when I go home tonight.

(Bit silly trying to run a GUI over putty/ssh I think)
