Thanks, it was intended for the list. I obviously didn't check the reply-to header of yours that overrode the current list preference :-)

The problem with Reply-To isn't a problem with the existance of the header, but the way that most MUAs handle preferences. In Thunderbird, I could go and select "Reply To All", remove your name from the To: field, and move the CLUG address from CC to To. What a pain. I want my MUA to recognise the fact that I'm replying to a list email, and to point out when the list preferences have been overridden for "this" message. But no-one writes a MUA that actually understands email messages :-(


In the words of mutt, "All Mail Programs Suck". mutt promises to suck less than the others, and this is certainly true if you want to customise your .muttrc file to the hilt. But if you want to use multiple mail clients accessing the same back-end mailstore (which is the reality for people who own more than one computer, generally) you can forget about customising your MUAs, because they can't all do the same thing.
