Let's not forget that for some of us, POTS is _all_we_have_!! I've spoken to Telecom and I can't get adsl. Exchange doesn't handle it or I'm too far away. TelstraClear will not lay saturn cables out of town. Woosh won't reach West Melton (yet). Telecom has a wireless thing out here which is expensive and according to them won't work with linux (I'm sure it can but I'm sick of Telecom's shenanigans - Fscktards that they are). So I, for one, will settle for a "cludge" if that's what POTS is. </rant> Yuri
