Try it again, but substitute the space with a slash

   touch /mnt/win_d/empty2

Your first e-mail said you were trying to write to /home/roger/documents/d
drive but you have that partition mounted on /mnt/win_d.  Can you confirm
that your mail client is looking in the right place for your mailbox?
