D'oh. Gotta hit Reply-all in thunderbird or it follows the original reply-to inserted by gmail rather than the CLUG one... oh well better remember to keep an eye on who I'm actually sending too then :P
On the plus side, thunderbird is threading everything properly unlike some nasty webmail clients... however gmail seems to de-thread some hijacked threads and combine some broken ones. Well it deals with "conversations" rather than threads, but at least its thread-friendly!
