This is only the second long outage I have experienced with Jetstream in two
and a half years.

At least this time they admit they have a problem. Last time it took over a
day for Telecom to admit that the problem was not at my end. (That was after
I told them I had even swapped modems between my house and a friend's.)

Right now I'm wishing my (external DSE1149) modem could fall back to dial up

mode... its already connected to the phone line.  I suppose its such a rare 
occurence its not worth implementing.

Or failing that use an external modem.
