the guys at the casino (same building as me) say it is a nationwide problem. they seem to know.
my home machine in lyttelton has been online for 4d 9h 21m 4s according to ipcop. i'd say its more like an exchange by exchange problem. having said that the business on the same floor as me (whose IT stuff i take some care of) have not got theirs back yet, again dsl is on, ppp does not connect. they are xtra, I am paradise. and it seems to be at the ppp level, the dsl lights are on all over the place, but there are problems somewhere at the lcp stage, acccording to my log files.
