Thanks also Michael & Nick, for agreeing to share their knowledge at our 
next meeting - Thursday 14 October, 7.30pm, same venue.

Nick's 'newbie intro' is squarely aimed at the demand level identified 
in Ralph's thread (where I'll reply next).
