now doubly so! yeah i know i know - heres my excuse <drum roll> on some
mail clients you can select a portion of the message and hit reply, and
only the selected bit gets quoted in the reply. evolution doesn't appear
to do this.

but my windows client at work does so no excuse really.

I tend to filter out the list stuff before applying spam filters on the
basis that the listserver is probably dealing with (most of) the spam
and viruses, i also found that quite a lot of list messages from various
lists were triggering the filters. if you aren't careful you can
reinforce that behaviour with the 'learning" system. spamassassin gets
whats left over.
