I'm a regular Synaptic-er, and find the updates more straight-forward
than SuSE's (which is saying a lot). I believe the latest wvdial fixed a
continuous redial fault (while connected). There's no rc.local tho.

I'm just finding consistent time to put into it now, so obviously I need
to test a lot more, & read the docu's. Keeping it online while mobile is
necessary to make it a workaday platform - where I'm starting.
