Hi all,

I would like to get a usb wlan device that I was lent working in Linux. Unfortunately /var/log/messages and lsusb do not give very much info:

messages:

Oct 9 17:55:22 paulscomputer kernel: ohci_hcd 0000:00:0e.0: wakeup
Oct 9 17:55:22 paulscomputer kernel: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 3

lsusb (no other usb devices plugged in):

Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0457:0162 Silicon Integrated Systems Corp.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

I tried googling the info lsusb spits out but found nothing.

I have also tried loading various wireless kernel modules as well as installing the wlan-ng drivers.

Any ideas on how to find the chipset of the usb device?

Thanks,

Paul
