I'm told that Libranet 2.7 is good for that sort of machine.  I have had
it running quite well on a AMD90 (actually 60MHz but as fast as Intel
120) with 64MB RAM.  It's Debian, and has one of the first reasonably
friendly installers.  Uses IceWM, which is small and I still use in
preference to all others I've tried (and that's quite a few!).  Free to
download, as is 2.8 and 2.81, though they are a bit heavier.
