I am impressed with Jim's clug wiki, after a few issues with the system
I am impressed with the ability to quickly edit things, and build up
documentation in a collaborative way.

Lawyers pick up enormous amounts of useful tidbits of information in
their daily business. Stuff that is hard to classify and store easily.
Stuff like "The XYZ bank took over GHV Finance in 1984 so you need to
write to XYZ's head office of you want a release of a GHV mortgage"

I think a private wiki would be great for this type of thing. Although
my secretary and I are the only two here, we each have our own
"institutional knowledge" of this esoteric but important arcana.
Documenting it on an easy to edit wiki would be great.

I see Jim uses phpwiki, but it is marked as unstable on gentoo (will
have to investigate that). Does anyone have any recommendations.

I'd also be interested in being able to link the wiki to files, like
scanned newsletters and stuff like that. i suppose I just put them in my
web tree and link to them via http.
