Greetings! :)
Good news! And good advice... ;) Thanks! As for SuSE 9.1, she even
detects what model of computer it is!!! ;) Success!!! So, install is going
on presently... :) Thanks to Robert!!! :) Good show!!! ;) Yes, had a
"feeling" that SuSE would do better with the hardware... ;) All glories to
(SuSE) Linux!!! :) So, now the laptop's officially "Designed for Linux O/S"
and very "synergistic" with Hare Krishna. :) Be nice if the other crowd were
more synergistic with Hare Krishna... :| Hopefully it will detect the
"Winmodem"...? Hope so... Nice GUI system in SuSE... Still like Ubuntu
though... but it definitely helps when the o/s detects the devices, and no
tripping figuring/configuring them all... So, here's hoping it all goes
well... ;) This definitely seems like the o/s for this machine... ;) Ubuntu
would be fine if the GUI dialler worked (seems there's a lack of a
"softlink" there, to link it to wvdial...?). So, SuSE's the go at the mo...
:) The "other o/s" (MSWindowsXP) definitely gets relegated to the post of
toilet guardian... (being that they seem to like toilets). ;) So now the
toilet here is officially designed for them! ;) Oh yes... See you soon
Nick... all going well. Wishing well, always...
With thanks,
Bhaktavatsala Dasa (Vatsala)
