What he was trying to convey with "X is X is X" is that the X Window 
System works and behaves in exactly the same manner, regardless of which 
Linux distribution that it's on.

So, information regarding X, whether it be on Gentoo, or Suse, or 
Mandrake, so far as X is concerned it's all the same.
