Hmm...
Thanks for this very essential reminder... :| However, Linux is
"Open Source"... And "Open Source" requires faith! If people don't like this
fact, then they can go to "closed source" fields of activity. Also, if there
are faithless people in this "Open Source" community, then they should
accept this necessity of faith, or leave. "Open Source" is definitely no
place for faithless people. In true "Open Source" the motto is "The more
faith the better!"... :) So, there should be no such issue of "preaching to
the faithless" in any "Open Source" community. If people have no faith, then
they should get some, or leave. Simple. And, ultimately (like it or not),
the fact is that there is NO "Open Source" without Hare Krishna.

You are only antagonising people and damaging other's opinion of what
you believe.
There is a time and place for preaching, but this list is not such a
place. The teachings you follow instruct you not to do so as detailed
below.

The Ten Offenses
Padma Purana
Brahma Khanda 25.15–18
Ten offenses to the Holy Name
9. Instructing a faithless person
* To glorify the importance of the holy name, or elevated
information of Krishna to persons who have no interest; who are
not ready to hear, or who may as a result of hearing become more
antagonistic.
* Pseudo-spiritualists selling the holy name to unqualified
persons.
* When you make this offence, you run the risk of diminishing your
own faith.
