Vatsalaji I have been watching this thread for it's entirety, and I, like many others, am becoming increasingly intolerant with comments such as the above. This list is populated with a large number of linux heavyweights! In fact I'd be very supprised if some others on this list were not also heavyweights in any number of other operating systems as well! There is no way that following Brads suggestion to take a look at a website and to compare information displayed there with what you have in the equivilent file on your computer could change your boot-loader. YOU did something else! What did YOU do!! This is NOT a Suse issue, nor an Ubantu Issue, nor a Windows issue - this is a user issue, as you have been told on any number of occassions by those who are orders of magitude more expert than I in two of the Linux flavours you have messed with. I cannot recall at any point where you have reported back with any detail about the errors you appear to encounter. Hells's Teeth it's not that difficult to record errors messages! I for one still keep a notepad alongside the keyboard for just this purpose! And that's after nearly 30 years of computer experience in a variety of operating systems and hardware platforms - yes, I'm one of those heavyweights you decry above. So once again - report back with the results of suggestions, record the full content of any error message you see, post it here correctly and consisely without the unneccassary bullshit as displayed above.
