well you are in to your linux system, but at the command line. My guess is that X did not start for some reason on your machine, maybe the card was unsupported, or not detected properly. Maybe you didn't select to install it. at the coomnd prompt you just described, type X (capital letter) and hit return. If you get a screen with an X cursor in the middle then hit ctrl-alt-backspace - cngrats X works and now you need to work out how your distro is supposed to start it on bootup, report back on what tthe distro is and we will help. if X did not start then loog at the messages on the screen and report them back to us, there is usually a clue there. > -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
